Hiro
Koda
Stunt
Coordinator
Hiro came
into the television and film industry at the young age of twelve, when
he received his SAG card doing a national commercial. By age seventeen
he was using his martial arts background to break into the stunt world.
Having trained in Yoshukai Karate since early childhood, Hiro has a
4th degree black belt. He was determined to become a leading choice
as a stunt coordinator.
After having worked constantly for several years as a stuntman in various TV
shows and feature films, Hiro was given the opportunity to be the fight coordinator
for the movie, "The Mummy Returns". That led him to many other projects
such as "The Hunted", "The Time Machine", "Blade 2", "Daredevil",
and "League of Extraordinary Gentlemen", to name a few.
Hiro has progressively moved up in the industry from being a stuntman/fight coordinator
to becoming a Stunt Coordinator and Second Unit Director. Most recently he was
Stunt Coordinator for Jerry Bruckheimer’s "Fearless", and the
WB’s "Birds of Prey", during which he was given the opportunity
to Second Unit Direct. Hiro is also a member of the renowned stunt group, Stunts
Unlimited.
