Lino Stavole

Special Effects Make-Up

Lino exploded his way into the entertainment industry... quite literally. Trained in the army as a heavy demolition and explosives specialist, he was quickly able to transition those skills from the ground to the silver screen. He received his federal and state pyrotechnic licenses and began to pursue a career in film.

He received his Bachelor's degree from the University of Toledo in Film design and technology, and began to study under world renowned makeup effects master Dick Smith. During this time he aggressively gathered as much knowledge about his craft as he could.

Most recently, Lino has been heading up the effects house aptly named, "The Creature Company." Helming numerous projects in both film and television, they have added their touch to a variety of award winning shows. Presently, he will be coordinating the physical effects for Richard Gere's new feature film "Emperor Zehnder".
